About Us.
Founded in Wellington in 2015, COLOSSAL has grown to be a force of nature in the live performance and events scene across Aotearoa. Delivering excellent experiences ranging from small scale circus theatre productions through to massive one off events featuring a huge-line up of artists, collaborators and design elements.
The company was originally created by the Pōneke artists, Imogen Stone, Zane Jarvie and Degge Jarvie. They are multi-disciplined project-based creatives, researchers and playful investigators. With backgrounds in circus, architecture and design they have a keen eye for detail and are relentlessly innovative. Their vision was to create a platform to bring awesome people together and “Make cool things happen.”
Since then the core team has grown, the network of collaborates has grown and the appetite for thinking big and out of the box is unstoppable. Despite things getting bigger one thing remains – a passion for audience experience. With a huge list of projects across Aotearoa and the world under their belt they are ready to take on the next exciting project!

Bespoke Infrastructure
The first thing an audience experiences during a show is the space. We design/build/create custom infrastructure to pull audiences into another world. The atmosphere created by unique spaces and infrastructure elevates audience experience i a way that is hard to quantify.
